FCAC is busy planning to make 2018 another exciting year. In addition to the Spring Gala, Writer's Retreat, Photography Show, and Artist Teams we are looking to present workshops and classes throughout the year. Contact FCAC at fcac.arts@fcacarts.org to be included in the 2018 Schedule.
 
 

Painting Classes by Clina Polloni

Where: FCAC Up-Front Gallery at 22 S. Main Street, Franklinton, NC 27525
When: 2nd Saturday of each month of 2018.
Time: 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Members of the Franklin County Art Council are invited to attend a FREE painting class each month taught by Clina Polloni, FCAC Artist of the Year. 

On this classes we will be learning acrylics and oil painting. If you are starting to paint, I will teach each month a simple paintings that is easy to learn designed for the class. I will announce in the website each month the painting of the month and the list of supply that you will need to bring.

Also you can bring a painting that you had already started and your supply. We can paint it together!

May: "Miniature Quilt Blocks"

When: Saturday May 12, 2018.
Artists Guild Meeting: From 12:00noon to 1:00pm.
Class: From 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Where: FCAC Up-Front Gallery at 22 S. Main Street, Franklinton, NC 27525.
Paintings: "Miniature Quilt Blocks".

Meeting: If you would like, you can come early at 12:00 noon to plan our future classes and events. Bring a little something to eat and drink that we can share.

Class: We will paint 8"x 8" miniature quilt blocks in honor of the Quilt Trails.

The Quilt Trails of the Tar and Roanoke Rivers is a project the Franklin County Arts Council designed to capture the history of our community through the display of quilt blocks on historic buildings and structures in Franklin and surrounding counties. Click here for more information >>

April: "Pigeon Point Lighthouse"
 
When: Saturday April 14, 2018.

Class: From 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Where: FCAC Up-Front Gallery at 22 S. Main Street, Franklinton, NC 27525.
Paintings: "Pigeon Point Lighthouse" or "Spring Flowers".

Meeting: If you would like, you can come early at 12:30 noon to plan our future classes and events. Bring a little something to eat and drink that we can share.

Class: In this class we will learn to paint a light house, sky with clouds and ocean.

We are also collecting 8x8 paintings for our fundraising event on May 19.

You can also bring a painting that you had already started and your supply. We can paint it together!

March: "Spring Flowers"

When: Saturday March 10, 2018.

Class: The Art Council is having a fundraising event in May. The theme is "Spring Gala Celebration" and we need your help to do a painting and donate it to the Art Council.

The paintings will be 8"x8", following the spring theme. I will bring 4 flowers that you can do or some of you are going to do butterflies. If you don't have a canvas, we will have some.

Red Lily, Red Daisy, Purple Pansy and Sunflower.

You can also bring a painting that you had already started and your supply. We can paint it together!

This painting was created for the painting classes, is a simple and charming painting for a person that is starting to paint and wants to learn about the ocean, reflections of a boat sailing and most important the little house in the cliff of the sand dunes.
